ChatData Sync · Your first tracker

How to create your first tracker in ChatData Sync

Create a private tracker without coding: describe what to track, review the suggested setup, and save a first entry. Connecting an assistant is optional.

Tip: use the arrow keys to move and Space to pause. Every screen is a real screenshot from ChatData Sync. Read the written guide.

A plain-English, screenshot-led tutorial

A tracker is a private, organized place for entries about one topic, such as recipes, car maintenance, or client payments. Start with a plain-English description, review the suggested sections and fields, and add a first entry.

Maya and the example names, dogs, prices, and records shown here are illustrative; this is not a customer testimonial.

Create your first tracker in 8 steps

  1. Sign in or create an account

Create an account with email and password or Google, or sign in if you already have one. This opens your private workspace.

  2. Describe what you want to track

Tell ChatData Sync in plain English what you want to keep organized. For example: Track dog walks with the date, client, dog, service, price, and payment status. You do not need to choose fields or technical settings first.

  3. Review the suggested setup

Check the tracker name, suggested sections and fields, and any assumptions before you save. You can edit this draft; creating the tracker is a separate step.

  4. Create your tracker

When the draft looks right, choose Create tracker. The tracker is saved to your account; the setup screen does not save it before this step.

  5. Add a first entry

Use Quick log to add one sample item, then check the confirmation and Entries view to see how the information is organized.

  6. Connect an assistant when you're ready

Open the tracker's Connect tab, choose a compatible assistant, and follow its setup guide. A tracker-specific connection is scoped to that tracker. Keep keys private, like passwords.

  7. Try a question in Preview

Ask a question in Preview mode to see how an assistant can find your saved records. Preview does not save or change a record.

  8. Delete a test tracker only when you mean to

To demonstrate deletion, open the tracker's delete option and read its warning first. Deleting removes its entries and cannot be undone; do not use this on records you want to keep.

Common questions

What is a ChatData Sync tracker?

A tracker is a private, organized place for entries about one topic, such as recipes, car maintenance, or client payments. Describe the topic in plain English, review the suggested setup, and save entries as you go.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Describe what you want to track in plain English, review the suggested sections and fields, and add your first entry with Quick log. Connecting an assistant is optional and follows that assistant's setup steps.

Can I connect an assistant later?

Yes. You can create and use a tracker before connecting an assistant. When you are ready, use the tracker's Connect tab; available connection options depend on the assistant or client.

What happens if I delete a tracker?

Deleting a tracker removes its entries and files from active systems and disables its tracker-specific connections. Backup or security-log copies may remain for a limited period under the Privacy Policy. The delete confirmation warns you before you proceed.

Is the walkthrough a customer story?

No. Maya and the example names, dogs, prices, and records are illustrative; this is not a customer testimonial.
